Long Time No Blog...

So I was just sitting here watching Blue's Clues when I realized it's been a while since I blogged. Since I'm up with a sick child at 4:30 in the morning - what better time to take advanatage of all this free time and throw up a blog before my son throws up on me....again.

Things are going well here in the big picture. We are almost completely unpacked in the new house and getting settled into a routine finally. It's funny how fast a toddler can unpack and destroy a room that you just spent the last hour putting together. But, he is loving his new room and books and toys to play with in his own house. I just have to put away some storage boxes in Ethan's closet and then I can finally park in my garage - WOOHOO! Decorating will be happening this weekend so I will make sure I get some AFTER pictures...since I have been slacking.

It's amazing how much time I don't have anymore with this new house. I think part of it is really just getting adjusted to the change and trying to establish a routine. I was talking with my friend the other day while the kids were playing at the park and we were sharing woes of feeling behind and overwhelmed. She has mentioned she was behind with laundry or something. I told her, I think I'm just behind in life. LOL I hope once I can park in the garage and the pictures are hung - I will feel like it's finally done and I can move on and not be "behind in life" :) Small things - but it makes a difference I think.

As a side note, I don't think there is anything scarier than a child with a high fever. It scares me. I just get worried that I will not be able to get it down, what happens if it gets too high, at what point do I stop being the calm collected comforting parent and start freaking out. This is not the first time Ethan has been sick and no where near as bad as when he was younger and was very ill. But, I don't think it matters how many times your kids are sick - you still worry like it's the first flu/cold they have ever had. Ahhh the joys of parenting :)

I hope you all are doing well and I have enjoyed reading your blogs when I have a free moment. Thanks for being patient with me and my few and far between blogs these days. Perhaps there will be another 4:30 am showing of Blue Clues here soon and I will have more time to write.

CIAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like that too sometimes....I think it's having kids! You don't always have the time to do what you want or need to do! I love when you post :) I always look just in case, so when you do...it's a pleasent surprize! I miss you Panda. You are honestly the bestest girl I've ever met!!! We are in Phoenix, I wish you could visit at the same time....we would have so much fun!! When we get back to OH we'll have to set a date to come see you.

Behind in life? That's exactly what Steve and I were talking about last night...we wish we could just put life on hold for a weekend..just pause everything and let us call the insurance company that we've been needing to do forever, find a dentist, fix the paint job in the living room, fix the tinting on our cathedral windows, go on a date so we can remember each other's names, call my friend Amanda to go to the park or come play in the pool--WHICH WAS SO FUN ON FRIDAY!!! I WISH YOU HAD BEEN HERE!--etc. etc. etc. I started a blog--that's a new thing--although let it be known that I'm so behind on life that it wasn't actually I who started it, but my sister who has her life in order, that could actually start my blog...Steve's comment to me when I told him about it: "Kerri, we barely have time to LIVE our lives let alone write about it." True true...so I'll see you back here at 4:30 AM...

Funny how I'm finding time to catch up on your blog, yet fail to take the time to update my own...hmm..some day I'll get my priorities straight!

OK..so it's been 15 mintes, and I can't get this thought off my mind, of being behind in life..I'm sure there are lots who will post and say they "relate"--don't we all. Any grand ideas to help us get out of this feeling?
